Liberated quilting — Gwen Marston

Tomorrow night Gwen Marston will be the guest speaker at the Dallas Quilt Guild, and on Sat I get to take workshop, which she calls “parts Department”. I’ve made lots of four patches, broken dishes, simple and regular log cabins and some light dark half square triangles . Now I’m string – piecing “strata.”. I’ve dug into my batik collection and have a batik jelly roll in blues and greens that are the basics, but I don’t have a plan, and I guess that’s the idea. — the quilt design grows out of playing with the parts . More later.

  1. Have a great time on Saturday – what a great opportunity -look forward to hearing how you got on!

  2. Sounds great, look forward to seeing how you get on!

  3. I can't wait to see what you make. Take lots of photos in class. I'll bet you'll learn from and be inspired by everything that everyone else makes, too.
