I decided to try doing some tic-tac-toe blocks using white for the lines instead of for the background — here’s a sample of how the blocks look if you mix them up:

I LOVE those! I've been playing around with some tic-tac-toe blocks with dark backgrounds, too, but haven't thought about combining the light background blocks with the "reverse" blocks. They look great on your wall.
