February Blocks

Nine String Heart Blocks. Instead of using small backing frabic. I cut two ten inch strips the length of the fabric and starting sewing my strips at one angle and then the opposite angle. When I finished I cut the strips according to the pattern. This made it quicker to piece the hearts.

    I had a similar idea and tried it the other way, with 5" strips and didn't enjoy it … and in fact, stopped and cut them into rectangles before I finished adding the strings. I think turning the rectangle around and doing it your way was much smarter 😉

    I've added your blocks to the list, our new total-so-far for January is 69 hearts.
