A Charitable Idea

I know many of us do make quilts for charities,  through our guilds or through organizations like Project Linus or Quilts of Valor.

If you don’t have the time/confidence to make a whole quilt, you can also help by contributing blocks to people and groups who are making quilts for a cause.

During the sneak peek period June mentioned to me in an email that she was making extra D4P blocks for Clare’s Quilts 4 Leukemia effort … because Clare uses 8 inch (finished size) red and white blocks.  Clare has recently extended her goal to making as many quilts as she can by the end of the year.

If you are having fun making D4P and would like to make a couple extras for a good cause, you might consider this one.  You can email me for Clare’s mailing address or contact her directly through her blog.  You might want to click over just to look at all the quilts she’s made so far 😉

Edited to add:  If anyone has a great Charitable idea for a future month, please contact me with details.  Keep in mind that we are an international group.  I know from past experience that when you ask the lotto community to donate blocks to your cause, you could receive HUNDREDS of blocks …
