Gail’s 3-patch quilt top done!
Using an idea Sophie posted, I sewed blocks together in panels, put borders on the panels, sewed the panels together and then used the remaining blocks in the border. If I were doing it again, I would use the same color fabric to border each panel and in between the blocks that form the outside border.
I used every block I received and made two additional to have 3 blocks on the top and bottom borders.
My husband said this quilt top is “gorgeous”! First time he has said that about a quilt I made 🙂
Wow! I agree with your husband – it's stunning! I'm a big fan of purple and green together, and this is a really pretty arrangement.
I couldn't see the blocks in a quilt as we were making them, but it looks fab
I'm so glad we were able to impress your husband 😉 I think it does look great! Thanks for sharing the photo with us.
It is gorgeous. I like the look of the panels that you've done.
Wow! this is wonderful! It was also fun looking for the blocks I sent. I think I found them!
I see my block! & it is gorgeous, your husband is right!
This is the first time I've ever worked on blocks that weren't square, so I couldn't see how it was going to fit together. It looks fabulous!
First: Finished is impressive! Second: It is gorgeous to a male as there are no cutsie and no pink…. Third: Your design is super. I was not sure how such a bla block was going to work up and you proved it works up GREAT.
I love it too. Just waiting for my final two sets of blocks to arrive and then I hope I get mine together as fast as you have.
that turned out beautiful!
Wonderful, and so fast!
