The Sneak Peek is Coming …

I hurt my back yesterday and so I’m not quite ready to send out the sneak peek … and I’m moving very slowly this morning.  I’ll be sending it to everyone who has posted blocks so far as soon as I can.

In the meantime, here’s what you need to know to start thinking about fabrics.

The June block will be a rectangle,  7 1/2 by 14 1/2 inches, to finish at 7 by 14 inches when sewn into a quilt.  You will be able to make a maximum of 6 blocks to enter in the drawing.

The color palette will consist of these colors:

WHITE – may be solid, white on white (WOW) print or a print which is predominately white and contains other colors in this palette.

LEMON YELLOW – may be solid or a tone on tone (TOT) print (please, nothing that would be considered more “gold” than yellow). We want a light, bright take on a traditional blue/yellow/white color-way.

AQUA – may be solid or a tone on tone (TOT) print

TURQUOISE – may be solid or a tone on tone (TOT) print

For each block, you may choose 2, 3 or 4 of these colors–the placement of the fabric within the block will be up to you.  For the fabric that you choose as background, you will need a large enough piece of fabric to be able to cut a 7 1/2 by 14 1/2 rectangle.

If you make multiple blocks, you may use the same WHITE fabric in multiple blocks. You can also repeat the other fabrics as long as none of your blocks are the same.

I will finish up the block pattern and sample block and send out the sneak peek as soon as I can.  I apologize in advance for the delay.  I’m going to spend some time stretching and hope it helps.

  1. Please take care of yourself… we need you well. Looking forward to seeing the block. I pulled some fabric and love the colors!!!

  2. I’m so sorry to hear this, Sophie. Backs take a long time to heal. So don’t hurry because of us – it’s more important you get better, so no rush on the sneak peak. I have trouble differentiating between aqua and toursquise. Could you give some examples (when you feel like it that is).
    Get better,

  3. Hi Sophie,I am really sorry to hear about the discomfort you are feeling. It sucks big time when body bits hurt! Please just focus on Your Health and resting your back…This would be a great time to lay back and cruse the internet and explore everything you haven’t had time to! To ponder and plan lots more creative adventures and to simply watch a movie and pick FUG from your naval! I think this colour way will be stunning! Rest up Sophie!!!

  4. I agree with the ladies … TAKE CARE. So sorry this happened!
