Spokes for Mod-Mod Quilt

FINALLY! Very Cheerful little blocks…I hit a snag on my background fabric though. When Sophie gave us the fabric requirements, I as a new quilter, thought,”Snort, HOW</em could it possibly take that much fabric?" Well, now I know!!! I have waited through the store's Inventory but, still none of the same fabric has appeared!!! What a surpise! So, I decided to just buy something else and mix it up a bit…I am not sure how that is going to work out for me but, at least I am still participating and I continue to learn as I do. Thank You Sophie for all the great lessons you prepare for me…The Rising Son still takes first place for difficulty!…So, I hope to finish those next!!!Spokes for Mod-Mod Quilt 001

  1. LOL. I have been quilting for 30 years and I STILL do that!

    • Oh my! Now I know I’m in great Company!

  2. I love your blocks! The color variety adds interest.

    • Thank you so much Dena, I am aiming for 78 different fabrics used in this quilt…your sampler is wonderful! Have a Happy week Dena!

  3. So pretty! The fabric requirements were really just a guesstimate and I am not sure how accurate they are. I could well end up adding a different background fabric, too.

    • Phew!!! I am so glad to hear that Sophie…next year I’ll pay more attention! (And be more trusting)

  4. A different background fabric will just add sparkle! It will be so cool when you are done! I can’t wait to see all these quilts finished!

    • I know Julie! I’m so excited to see every ones interpretation as well! Each one so far feels radically different and yet, we are using the same patterns!!! It just amazes me. I was concerned because the fabric colour, as well as, the design is different. However, I either push on with my quilt and switch it up or I store it in case I find the other fabric somewhere…the sales clerk told me she wouldn’t count on it as the new fabrics are in and mine wasn’t included…I really want to carry on and just go with the flow!
