I found this pattern on Craftsy for free, it’s by Jennifer Ofenstein at Sewhooked.com. The original was 5″, so I scaled it up to 9″. I wonder if I should have just put a background border around it. I put together three blocks this month. I know I say it all of the time, but I was surprised how well these have turned out. I wasn’t convinced that I wanted to make any but I am so glad that I did. For the second month in a row I thought I might not make a block. I did manage one though. I had trouble with the iron-on stuff with some of my batiks – it was like they absorbed all of the adhesive and did not stick at all. I always pre-wash but I wonder if there was something that was causing the problem (left over waxy residue of some sort?). Anyone else have trouble? I’m donating this month’s...

I had fun putting 2 of these blocks together – my mother, who is visiting, did the third. All three will go in the draw for me, if I win, maybe I’ll have to give the finished quilt to my mom.
