I went with the number 6 for making blocks this month.  It looks like several others did too.  That should make for a nice pile of blocks for the winner.  A friend of mine just finished a scrappy version of this block for a charity quilt and it looked terrific.  I think I may start doing these blocks rather than 9 patches with my scraps. It’s been a busy month, but I managed to finish 6 Noon and Light blocks for donation.                 I have not done much trimming of HSTs and have totally ignored everyone’s exclamations of delight with the Bloc-Loc ruler. Necessity to the rescue— you can put 3 layers of masking tape along the 45º line of your square ruler and make a very acceptable substitute....
