I received Charlene’s letter today, enclosing the double 9-patch block AND an extra. It was just what I needed. I’d decided to set the blocks 7 x 7, which meant I’d need to make that 49th block. Now I can proceed to put them together into a nice big wrap-around quilt. Thanks to everyone for making that possible. And I have to add that I didn’t have to wear boots and parka to go to the mailbox. Spring is making its way to Michigan — at last.
