Two more envelopes arrived
An envelope from Robin arrived last week and one from Linda arrived this week – thank-you ladies!
Like I did once before for Sophie, I’m tracking the sent and received dates, the size of the envelopes and what it cost each of you to mail to South Africa. I am mortified at how much the postage cost has increased from the United States (nearly 6 times more than it costs me to mail to the US!) . I have also had to go and collect the four envelopes from the post office and pay a local customs clearing charge on each of them, this is also a new thing (used to dropped in my letter-box). I guess post offices world wide are struggling to stay viable and offer a still needed service – I seldom get letters in the mail anymore as most correspondence is sent electronically.
I will still participate in Block Lotto, but think will mostly donate the blocks in future. Karen N.
