Thanks and Merry Christmas

Thanks for all the lovely comments on the blocks. My husband Joe stood up on a chair and took them as I had put them on top of the freezer in the kitchen. Two of them were a bit lopsided, as he moved them to adjust them for the shot, but I didn’t have the heart to tell him to do it again.LOL I do thank you for writing me. I really enjoyed the blocks. Glad that you liked them..I used mostly batiks… love them! I do have a blog if you want to look at it. It is
It is Christmas Eve and late afternoon in Ireland. We are having a really cold snap, and it seems to have hit a lot of Europe. I can hear the sea outside our cottage is wild and angry, but we are snug inside.
I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or as we say here Nollag Shonna!

  1. Merry Christmas, Micki (and everyone).

It's raining here in Dallas, but SNOW it's predicted to become snow within the hour and I'm feeling like some happy little kid, looking out the window and waiting to see big fluffy snow flakes. Although I have lived in plenty of places (like this one) where it never (or rarely) snows … snow and Christmas are linked in my mind and my idea of the perfect holiday.

  2. Glad to hear you are snug with the wild weather outside!
For almost 20 years, I have lived in the southern part of the U.S. and gratefully look forward to a sunny, snow-free Christmas year after year. Yes, I grew up in a very snowy part of the country and don't miss it at all.
Gotta run, Grandmas is yelling something about a reindeer running over her . . .

  3. I used to live in Texas….I was born in Philly, but taught English in Houston and lived in the Woodlands. We got some snow, but not that much. After marrying Joe, an Irishman, I had to get used to the Irish climate. Ireland does get some snow, but this year, we have been hit with really cold temps and the weather has been so cold. We have a layer of snow on the ground, and that is nice, but boy is it freezing out there. Merry Christmas!
