Blocks
Everyone is worried about getting their blocks in the mail. I want you all to know that I am really enjoying getting a few blocks in my mail box each day! I think if you get them out by the end of the month, you are ahead of the game. Life is crazy and the post office never seems to make the top of the to-do list. Besides, if you get them all sent to me quickly, then I have to get busy putting them together quickly! No promises there! I have just now finally started to think about how to put them together so I am way behind the other winners.
Happy stitching!
Andra, you're sweet and, honestly, my reasons for wanting everyone (myself included!) to mail in the first week or two are purely selfish … by the time the third week rolls around, I need to be focused on the blocks for the NEXT month, ideally making sample blocks and, if necessary, creating the directions so I'm prepared to send out the sneak peek email to those entitled to receive it.
It's easier to be more casual about deadlines for an occasional swap, but the block lotto rolls on every month and without the commitment (and courtesy) of everyone to each other, after a successful month like January, I could easily end up chasing hundreds of late blocks from a couple of months at a time … and I have neither the time nor inclination to do that. I tend up in the herding cats role in the work I do, it would be the opposite of fun for me to do that here.
yes, I see your point! Thanks so much for all you do for this Lotto! I am having so much fun! I am about to get started on my quilts-yes I am planning on making 2- from all those tic tac toe blocks. I think I just need 5 more but I am going to start without them.
Happy Stitching!
