Blocks from Arizona

More red and white d4p blocks arrived today.  These were from Andi.  I really love the batik reds.  All the blocks are looking so great.  This is going to be a wonderful quilt.

I was wondering, about half of my blocks have arrived wrapped in plastic wrap before they were put in the envelopes.  Is this a best practice?  Is it just to keep them clean, or what?  Should I do this on the next ones I send out?  Just wondering.

Thanks again, Andi.

  1. I wrap mine, or use a small sandwich baggie, to protect the blocks in case it rains or somehow the envelope gets torn or dirty.

  2. If you go to the tab "FAQ" and go to the last question, you will see a link to Sophie's "mailing tips". There you will find suggestions to insure that your blocks arrive safely at their destination.

  3. Thanks. I'll add that step to my mailing process next month. Unless I win again. LOL that would be really lucky, wouldn't it?

  4. I tend to think that the thicker brown kraft envelopes I use protect the blocks well enough, but probably should also wrap them in plastic like those very careful quilters and ensure they make it to their destination exactly as I made them.
