six from Laurina

Here are my six for this month’s sampler blocks. I wanted to try a little of everything: paper piecing, strings, curves. I also threw in a few easy ones into the mix. I will donate this month’s blocks – samplers aren’t my thing, although I’ve seen a few nice blocks that are tempting…

  1. So pretty! You've set the bar high ~

  2. Beautiful!

  3. Some of these were in the sneak peek photos I uploaded to Flickr and someone asked about what the block pattern was for the one that on the bottom right corner.

There are some nice tempting blocks in your bunch, too. I really like the color/fabric placement in the one with the curves.

  4. The bottom right corner was my own invention. It has a design flaw – too many layers in the center because there are 16 pieces converging there. I am trying to think of how I can rework it to get the same effect without the bulk.
