June block
I am happy with my first effort of the little red school house. Boy do I wish I could give it a garden or drapes, ha-ha. I had a little trouble with the directions. First of all I wanted to know which red goes to the roof, the gable side and the window side. I wrote myself directions (on my blog if you are interested). Happy stitching, Christa in VA
I was happy to find the directions online because I really love schoolhouse blocks … and while this one is a simplified version, I think it strongly suggests the traditional block. That said, I probably would have written the directions a bit differently, but given the number of block photos I’ve seen from the sneak peekers, the directions–if not great–are definitely understandable. (And you aren’t the only person who commented about it.
