Have you seen the sign “Dogs have owners, Cats have staff”? That is certainly correct here at our house. This one represents my Abyssinian boss, Tuba. He often supervises my sewing endeavors, and he is shown choosing my thread color. I copied an old Zwicky Thread poster found online.

Tuba

Then I made one for Tuba’s pet, Zena, a rescue who is a real warrior princess. This pattern was purchased from Janeen at Quilt Art Designs and is one of a series of silhouette cats. (http://www.craftsy.com/user/664166/)

Some good friends of ours are owned by a cat named Tiger. I revised my purchased pattern for a stuffed Attack Cat doorstop to represent him. (http://www.sewcutepatterns.com/). I believe this to be the original designer though there are a lot of copies now.

These are my last blocks, making 5 total, all for donation until I can show you what I have done with the Plaids I won last month.

  1. Jansen is an amazing PFP pattern designer. I love her silhouette cats (but confess, I decided it would be easier for me to appliqué those shapes–you did a great job with that complicated block.
