Nine Spring Violets from Michigan

Nine Spring Violets from Michigan

It’s still too early for violets in the garden — just a few brave daffodils, scilla, and crocuses — but I’ve been happily constructing them in my studio. These are for chances to win. They will make a stunning quilt. And thanks, Sophie, for including the info for a variety of sizes....

And they’re off…..

I mailed three brown snails to Julianne this morning. Let’s see how long snail mail takes from Michigan to California. Actually, our temperatures the last couple of days seem like California — and the bulbs are peeping up!

I’m also showing you a picture of the backing, which was an incredibly lucky find at our local fabric...

Where Have All the Flowers Gone…

I sent flowers today to Kim and delivered flowers to Barb this weekend at our guild retreat. It is now spring here and maybe our bulbs, planted so hopefully, will soon bloom. The lake is ice-free here and beautiful, but impossibly cold.
