4 April Clover Blocks

I keep reading comments from almost everyone on the blog about how happy they are the clover blocks are so easy to sew up.  Not for me.  I made the first 4 with a lot of difficulty and then they ended up only 6 inches square so I started all over cutting my fabric a quarter inch larger.  Finally made them come out decent when I paper-pieced them. “They” say it’s good to get out of our comfort zone from time to time but I’m beginning to wonder if I have a comfort zone.  All the blocks have been a challenge for me except the stacks.  I know, whine, whine.  Here are my 4 acceptable blocks:

  1. I know you worked extra-hard to make them and I won't say it was worth it, but they are GORGEOUS! I've added them to the list. Our new total-so-far is 90 clover blocks.

  2. Hi – you're not alone!! I find it very challenging too – the precision needed for the blocks is very alien to me but I'm very drawn to it and boy what a sense of achievement when I crack it!! Every cloud….. Love your clover blocks – I havn't started mine yet… wish me luck!!!
