Hi Ladies
With some encouragement from our lovely leader, Sophie, I am posting a picture of my completed Pineapple Blossom.
Several months ago when this was the block of the month, I went wild over the scrappiness of it.
I did the blocks on the machine and then did hand quilting doing it in my own QAYG style.

Below is a pic of 4 blocks quilted ready to add to another set of 4

Below is the finished quilt.

Thanks to Sophie for having this wonderful blog group and to all you talented ladies for being inspirational.

  1. You have much to be proud of, it is a great finish!

  2. It's wonderful! And I love all the quilting you did on it! Great job! Toni

  3. Sewn and quilted!! You put a slowpoke like me to shame. The quilt looks just wonderful. I think it's a great pattern. Kathie L in Allentown

  4. I've been amazed at how colorful these blocks turned out. (I'm a bright color junky). I wasn't really thrilled at the gold and grey requirement on these blocks, but the scrappiness has really popped the other colors, so I guess the gold and grey served as a neutral base for contrast. (We should always trust Sophie….!)

  5. Great quilt girl!!!!

  6. What a pretty quilt! That red sashing is perfect.

  7. I love it!! – you've finishe it off a treat – I love the red sashing, its beautiful!!

  8. wow, thanks ladies. These blocks were like potato chips to me, I couldn't stop once I got started. I love scrappy quilts.

  9. I love the red sashing! I was thinking of doing mine in yellow sashing. Thank you so much for posting and sharing it with us. LOVE the quilting!

  10. this looks great – another fave block to add to the list 😉

  11. Your hand-quilting really makes this quilt extra-special. Thanks for sharing it with us. The red sashing is great and a good example of whatever color you add to a bunch of scrappy blocks really determines the color we see. I think anyone would look at your quilt and say "red quilt."

  12. It is a very striking quilt — congrats.
