Disappearing Four Patch from Block Lotto winnings

Hi Ladies
Several months back I won blocks from the Lotto. Following that I did a red/white charm swap with some ladies. I decided to incorporate them into a quilt for my Mom’s Christmas gift. It has been completed for a few months now but have had the worst time with my computer & camera lately. Anyway, here it is – it is queen size and all hand quilted. I think she will love it.

Thank you ladies for helping me create this for a wonderful gift. And thanks Sophie for this blog.

  1. Just beautiful, Blondie! Yes, your mom's gonna LOVE it! The hand quilting is soooooo cool in the reds!

  2. I LOVE that! I was hoping I won that month, but I didn't 🙁 My plan is to make myself one at some point in my life, but I have too many ideas and not enough time. I love the hand quilting!

  3. Lovely! I like how you put 4 blocks together to make a larger block. Your quilting is beautiful!

  4. The cables you quilted into the borders/sashing is LOVELY. You mom will surely treasure this quilt (and we all helped 😉

  7. Who wouldn't love it. Your quilting design looks great. I won that some month, and have an layout in mind, but haven't executed it yet. Maybe in 2012. Kathie L in Allentown

  8. You are so brave to choose a contrasting quuilt thread. I don't have that much faith in my stitching and rarely select anything other than a blending color for my hand work. Beautiful work and what an amazing gift. Moms are worth the effort!!
