Step quilt finished

Here’s a photo of the quilt I made for my father from the step blocks I won a couple of months ago. Isn’t it great? I really think he’s going to love it. I’m going to give it to him tomorrow, so I snapped a photo today before it was too late.

Thanks to all who contributed blocks—I’m really pleased with how they came together!

  1. I really like it, Ginny. It makes a great “guy’s” quilt, and I’m sure your dad will love it. Just in time for Father’s Day!! I was a winner that month also, and really need to get moving on creating something just as nice as yours. Thanks for showing us. Kathie L in Allentown

  2. I’m sure your dad will love it as much as I do … I really, really do love it. Great Work (and speedy!)

  3. HOW is your quilt put together? I don’t see “rows “. I REALLY like how you put the blocks together.

  4. This quilt is GRAND and you are very industrious to have it finished is such a short time I think you dad is going to be one proud papa to have have this quilt. It is a great guy quilt.

  5. Thanks Terry, and everyone. I’m smiling! I put it together at a quilt retreat where I was lucky to be sitting by a design wall. I just put the blocks on the wall and kept moving them until I liked it—really ramdom. Then since I was right there I could take them down and put them back up as I joined them and they kind of went into bigger blocks that I kept joining together. It was much easier than my explanation. It took no time at all.

  6. Great quilt, Ginny!

  7. Ginny, it looks terrific! Congratulations on the finish. I’m sure your dad will be delighted.
