Quilt top from Chevron blocks

Posted by on April 6, 2014 in show and tell | 9 comments

I have finished the quilt top from the wonderful blocks I won!!!!  They were so perfect and easy to work with and I have some left for another project.  This top will be finished and as I have posted before will be given to the church auction.  Some of the money from the action supports our Quilt Ministry. Thank you to Sophie and everyone for this great community. CHEVRON QUILT

  1. Of all the ideas I had for these blocks … I never considered using them like this. What a great idea.

  2. Lovely! That is a beautiful quilt, and a great way to use a panel or large print in the center. I hope it brings lots of money for your group!

  3. Nice use of blocks!

  4. Beautiful! What a fantastic use of those blocks.

  5. Peggy that is so creative! In a million years I would not have thought of that. Brilliant, putting the panel in then framing it with the Chevrons! I think it will do very well in the auction!

  6. What a great way to use the chevron blocks! Love it.

  7. What a cool idea!!!! It turned out very cute!!!!

  8. Thank you all for the kind comments. This quilt is way outside my comfort level on many levels.. Glad it worked. The blocks I received were so well made it made the work very easy. I may have to try this in a smaller version at some time. Happy quilting everyone.

  9. This is such a clever idea for a setting. I still have no idea how I will set my own set of chevron blocks, but I never would have considered this!
