Mod Mod QA -unit 3 done (Slowly but, surely)

I am hoping that these big O’s lighten up the quilt…I thought they were a tad chunky when I looked at the pattern but, after actually making them I love them! A Lot!!! I am still working on the Suns…I have the rays sorted out and the 2 pieces together to form a whole Sun but stitching them into the background is still being an issue…pleats and gathers all over the place…I am going to go look for freezer paper again…wish me luck! Only one more unit to sew together when the Suns are done I can hardly believe it!

  1. Charlene, I’m loving your color choices so far! I wonder if you can’t get freezer paper from the butcher. I know that the big roll of white paper that the butchers use here is freezer paper. So maybe it is where you are, too. Just a thought…

    • Andrew, Thank you…and what a terrific idea about the freezer paper. I am going to give that a try! I need all the help I can get with the setting in of the Suns.

    • Every time I use freezer paper for quilting it remains of monthly trips to the butcher shop with my mom when I was a young and living in New York City.

  2. Charlene, I agree, the colors are great. I am wishing you success on the sun block.
