ModMod Sampler Finished!

Posted by on June 22, 2015 in | 4 comments

I just finished sewing the binding on and was so excited I laid the quilt out in my yard and took a shot of it so I could post it right away. It’s the queen size, so it’s pretty large. I did it as quilt-as-you-go, and found instructions on the Internet that allowed me to sew the sashings and the binding all on with the machine (no hand sewing). I figured that was the ModMod way to go.
Thanks Sophie for this challenge! My mother loves it so I am going to give it to her.

  1. Wow, congrats on this wonderful quilt. Your mom is one lucky person, the colors are beautiful. I am working toward making a quilt from the blocks of this year. It’s my hope that I will have enough for a king size finished by January and will “just” have to arrange the blocks and get it quilted. Kudos to you for making the whole guilt yourself, from blocks to quilting. Thanks for posting it, it gives the rest of us encouragement.

  2. Wow Ginny, it’s wonderful! I love the arrangement and the colours.

  3. I LOVE your quilt Ginny! The blue and white look so refreshing…How invigorating it will be to wake up and make the bed each morning…your Mom must be a special lady Ginny, I know how much love goes into this wonderful design, Great job!

  4. Beautiful!
