Only 7 blocks for me this month. I didn’t want to cut into a large piece of black but managed to find a few smaller pieces and got enough squares for 7 blocks. But I do like this block and definitely will keep it in mind as a block to use again. Not wanting to just toss the cut off fabric I sewed a second seam 1/2″ closer to the corner when adding the background and cut between the two seams, resulting in cute little HST’s...

Hi, my name is Christa and I am VERY new to this. I hope the squares will live up to standard. The colors in the photo are not quite true though. Sophie told me that I should introduce myself. So here it is in a nutshell: I was born and raised in Germany. Met my true English gentleman husband (born and raised in Windsor, England) just before he was transferred by his company to the USA in 1975 for 18 months … and we are here ever since....

I’ve had the material cut for a couple of weeks and finally had a chance to sew some of these little beauties together. My camera (skills) and lighting stink, but I really like them. Hopefully I’ll be able get the other five put together later this weekend. Have a great rest of the week! Nancy...
