I went to post office today and mailed my July checkboard blocks to Marybeth in Florida and Rho in Texas. I also mailed my newly uncovered May pineapple bonus blocks to Kim in Georgia. Happy sewing!

Oh, and just a note to say that my blocks from July (to Rho, Rhonda and Shannon) will go out tomorrow – my apologies for the delay – we were away from home on holiday last week and I didn’t manage to get my act together enough to mail them yesterday or today…

It may not seem like it from the news, but there is at least a little normality in London today – things seem calmer tonight, luckily, and we are not in a part of London likely to be affected (leafy suburb, fairly prosperous, though there are pockets). Anyway. These are my nine violets – I loved doing this block and will definitely be doing it again in a different colourway (not sure what colourway, I can think of tons of options...
