It may not seem like it from the news, but there is at least a little normality in London today – things seem calmer tonight, luckily, and we are not in a part of London likely to be affected (leafy suburb, fairly prosperous, though there are pockets). Anyway. These are my nine violets – I loved doing this block and will definitely be doing it again in a different colourway (not sure what colourway, I can think of tons of options...

I went to post office today and mailed my July checkboard blocks to Marybeth in Florida and Rho in Texas. I also mailed my newly uncovered May pineapple bonus blocks to Kim in Georgia. Happy sewing!

Still no violet blocks, but I have finished up the quilt made with the Stacks blocks I won. A simple straight set but blocks turned in alternating directs. 2.5″ white border and then I used up leftover bits of bindings. A nice cheerful quilt that I will be sending to my niece who has been going through a lot of medical difficulties and...
