A long time ago, I used to hang out in a coffee bar that had these realllllly tall mugs with a teeny-tiny, finger-loop type handle way up near the rim & they were all patterned in what I can only describe as “wallpaper translated in ceramic. When I saw this block in the sneak peak I knew I had to make on of those. I only hope I get a chance to make a whole set +extras to keep for myself. & I am sorry to be so blonde but I cannot...

First let me say that I won the african violet swap last year & I have done nothing with the blocks & I am unashamed!  I WANTED them so bad I could taste them & periodically I spread them out on the floor & roll around in them.  So I guess I have not exactly done nothing. I completely fell in love with the March 2011 block.  I even made a pile for the lotto, despite not being the world’s biggest red & white quilt fan.  But I really saw it as a vehicle for won’t-work-anyhere-else fabrics such as my favorite french country chickens.  Anyhow, the quilt is made & I thought maybe the other lotto-ites would like to see….?  It is also my entry in the current Blogger’s Quilt...
