What I would like for 2017

Hi Sophie, Thanks for a great year of block making. I like the 6 1/2 inch size for postage ease. I have joined the mystery quilt making but I think it gets a bit big and I probably would not do another. Maybe your idea of a sampler would be better. I was considering taking that path next year anyway even if was not a stated block lotto plan. I joined in 2011, but lurked for a couple of years before then. It was the log cabin rose block that I first saw and have my version of it still pinned for quilting (did not leave enough for long arming)....

Ideas for 2017

After 3-1/2 years in BL I have begun to see blocks that might be good for the lotto. (Unusual but not overly intricate.)  I’ve sent them along to Sophie for her idea file.   I was able to participate in all but two months this year — I just couldn’t get the pieced leaves to work out and I don’t have easy access to an enlarging photocopier for the chickens. I enjoyed making the blocks for the other ten months.  Ideas for 2017?  I’d love baskets and/or schoolhouses.
