Side by side …
Am I the only one who does this … when a new quilt from a lotto block quilt is posted, browse through the gallery to admire the other quilt(s) that other winner(s) made. Take a look at Nancy’s and Julie P’s quilts side by side: Very different and I love them...

Sophie put the post and the two sheets together in a .pdf you can download by clicking here. It doesn’t open another window, but will download to wherever you have told your computer to put downloads. Oh, wait, Sophie just told me that whether clicking the link opens the PDF in your browser or downloads it to your computer depends on what browser and the user’s browser settings. So keep that in mind, too. =) I have not checked that the cutting guide and the appliqués are exactly the same, though I don’t see a reason they...

If you have questions about anything, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I may have over-explained in an effort to make sure everyone could follow the directions and the pictures. It’s a picture heavy post! Making the blocks is fast – less than half an hour yields two before you add appliqués to one. You ONLY add appliqués to the blue baskets. I ask that you read through the entire pattern and study the pictures before beginning, so that there are no surprises for you. I don’t always do things the way someone else...

I’ve had this top made for quite a while but have only recently been able to quilt and finish it. These are the Easy X blocks I won in November 2014. I based the layout on a quilt I came across on Pinterest….Just Kisses on Robert Kaufman’s site. This was my first time trying a Full Line Stencil and Pounce Pad. The stencil name is “Overall Swirl”....

Almost missed the deadline! I have made three Californian Poppy Blocks, and they are for donation. From time to time this month I kept looking at the list of blocks made, each time wondering why my three were not there, and then I remembered I still had to photograph them, and write a post…but me being at work, and the blocks at home, that was a problem. And then kept forgetting to take the picture – lesson learnt, take the picture straight away! These were fun to make, and thanks for the great pressing tip, definitely will...

Please check my list, here: http://www.blocklotto.com/2018/08/august-blocks-tally-sheet/ and make sure that I didn’t miss your blocks or make a mistake in the number. (Note that there are 2 Lindas — one without an initial — and a whole bunch of Cathy/Kathy/etc. variations!) There’s still a little time to post your blocks — I’ll plan to do the drawing early Saturday morning, PDT. Thanks, Julie
