NoonLight blocks
Snowstorm Wilbur here in north Iowa. Gave me an opportunity to make 4 blocks. That scant quarter inch seam is very important! I loved the construction of these and wish I had gone scrappier now that they are done. Love this...

This is a gentle reminder to be sure to identify yourself by name in your blog posts … and if you have a common name add something that uniquely identifies you, like Kathie from Allentown or Linda from the Big D. You can set up the display name to whatever you want, but if it doesn’t include your first name, be sure to “sign” your blog posts. It will help the monthly Block Mom’s construct the list of blocks and help me match the names to your addresses when you win!

I made these two Night and Light blocks for April. I hope they meet the requirements, the background is yellow but the interior is not totally scrappy. If they are not scrappy enough, let me know and I’ll keep them for another project. Welcome to April at Block Lotto. Let’s use up some scraps! Our April Block Lotto block is the traditional Noon and Light pattern. In keeping with springtime, find a yellow in your stash or scraps that you can use in this block as your background. You’ll need around a fat eighth. The rest of the pieces will be scraps – colors your choice. The finished blocks measures 9” – or 9 ½” unfinished. Here is the link for the PDF file: Scrappy Noon and Light. There you will find the assembly instructions. Any Questions? Please email me:...

First, sorry I’m a couple hours late. The Easter Egg Hunts went on a bit longer than I was led to believe by my family and the Easter Bunny. Sheesh! But we have two winners. I randomized the list of 83 block entries (of the total 90 made; 7 were donation blocks). Then the resulting order was put into Mr. Random Number Generator, and he picked number 67, then number 1, which corresponded to: ROBIN and NEEDLED MOM Congratulations, Ladies. Thank you all for allowing me to host this month of the Block Lotto. I have a new appreciation for the work...
