A comedy of errors … and the October sneak peek

The sneak peek for October has been emailed to everyone who has made blocks and posted photos of them–it’s a pretty elite group this month of about a dozen quilters.

If you have made and posted blocks, but did not receive email, please let me know ASAP.

I’d also appreciate it if everyone would also sanity check the list on the At-a-Glance page to make sure that if you should be on the list, you are and the number of blocks is attributed to you is correct … and let me know (or post a comment on the page) if I need to fix anything.

The comedy of errors in the title refers to my day where, if anything could go wrong, it did.  I apologize  for the delay in getting the message out. Math errors, a crazy-making sewing machine on which the thread kept breaking for no apparent reason and some computer woes–side effects of updating software last week and a corrupt spreadsheet–taken altogether, they just about did me in today.

If you aren’t among the few, the proud, the makers of 3-D flower blocks, you can prepare for October by checking your stash  for SOLIDS.  You’ll need white plus 2 other solid colored fabric of your choice.   Your choices can be light, dark, dull, bright, neutral … anything EXCEPT black. The two colors you choose must be different–two different shades of blue (or any single color), for example, won’t work.
