Thangles for 1/2 square triangles – they’re great!

This weekend I picked up a package of Thangles to make our 1/2 square triangles and I LOVE them! They save so much time because if you make 1/2 square triangles by using 2 squares of fabric and drawing the lines, instead, you just pin these papers on to your strips, sew on the line, and cut. There are 2 on each strip of paper so you end up with 4 1/2 square triangles.

I’ve used another product to make 1/2 square triangles and it make a lot from each strip so that was not ideal for this project.

Just had to share my discovery in case anyone is looking for a time-saving method of making the squares.

  1. I’m using Thangles too! I cut one white strip WOF, then use smaller scraps of bright colors for each paper. This makes a great “in-between” project when I’m sewing blocks for other quilts.
