The (VERY LATE) Sneak Peek Has Been Mailed

As everyone who has made and posted blocks for September should know, the sneak peek email was sent yesterday … with my apologies.

If you have made and posted blocks, they should appear on the list on the at-a-glance page and you should have email from me.  If I’ve goofed in some way, please let me know about mistakes on the list or that you haven’t received your sneak peek ASAP.  Thanks.

If you haven’t (yet?) made Boomer blocks and are curious about what’s coming in October … we’ll be using two fabrics in our blocks:

  • A cream or tan tone-on-tone (TOT) print.  If you make multiple blocks, you can use the same background in all your blocks.
  • A batik fabric in any color(s) which contrasts nicely with the cream/tan background.  You’ll need a unique batik fabric for each block if you make multiple blocks for the Block Lotto.

It’s been a while, but we have made blocks from this combination a couple times in the past. You can see photos of some of the individual blocks in these photo sets on Flickr:

To see how a bunch of batik+cream blocks might look together in a project, check out Kate’s Batik Stars Tablecloth in the Gallery. (Follow the link to read more and for more photos).

(What fun I just had looking through our Gallery to find this photo … so many lotto blocks and so many beautiful quilts!)

  1. I was looking through the gallery yesterday to find a particular pattern to show someone who was thinking about making a similar block. It’s a great quilt show!
