Eight blocks for Kim H.

Thanks Sophie for such a great pattern and springy colorways. Now if only I can win ;).

I’ve been meaning to try the no-waste method for flying geese for quite a while and got to see a demonstration last weekend at the Brooklyn Guild’s quilt show (where I also saw the wife of our new Mayor).

It turns out the “no waste” method is quite wasteful if you cut the fabric using the wrong dimensions! You’d think that as exasperated as I’ve been with students not paying attention to directions, I’d do better myself.  But I think  I finally got the hang of it. I’m going to try to get 1 more block in before the deadline, but it’s a busy week, so I thought I’d better post. I promise they are really bright!  I took this at night.
