Blocks & Apologies to Maree

I mailed Maree’s blocks on April 14th. It wasn’t until I was in line at the Post Office that I realized I hadn’t trimmed the blocks.  I was leaving town the next day and decided it was better to get them in the mail than to hold onto them for another 2 weeks. It won’t happen again!

So many arrows!

My apologies to BL-ers for the late post. I received arrows from Dagmar, Kathie, Krista, Laura, Laurie, Marianne, Su and Wilma.  Thanks so much everyone! Marianne, thanks for the little extra–it fits perfectly with something else I want to do with the arrow pattern. I’ve been traveling with more events than usual, so I have fallen behind on everything non work related.   Looking forward to staying still and playing with the...

Six Flower blocks for March

Six Flower blocks for March

Another great block idea Sophie. This would make such a cute baby quilt–too bad all the kids I owe quilts to are boys!  I think this might be it for March. They were super easy, but I still managed to take too much time making...

My ‘first’ Block Lotto Sampler

My ‘first’ Block Lotto Sampler

Rays of sunshine headed to Iowa

I took Julie’s sunrise blocks to the post office yesterday. With the holiday, I don’t know when they’ll get there, but soon. I meant to put a congratulations note in, but was rushing to the post office before it closed. I’ve never been this jealous of a BL winner!! Really interesting block and great color combinations. Enjoy!

2 sunrise blocks from Kim: Never say Never

2 sunrise blocks from Kim: Never say Never

Just in May  I was visiting my Mom’s sewing group and she was finishing up some NY Beauty quilt blocks.  Her friend asked if I quilted like my Mom and I said, “I would NEVER do a bunch of  complicated pieced blocks like that.  So I also groaned when I saw this month’s blocks. But, after the first one (which I did for the MMQA)  they were much easier than I anticipated thanks to Sophie’s helpful instructions and...

4 blocks on their way to Julianne

After walking around with the mailing label for two days and the stamped envelope for another two, I finally put the package for Julianne in the mailbox today.  (Don’t ask how many times I walked by the actual post office.)  Hopefully they’ll get to you late this coming week.
