Rainbow Coin Stacks
hi everyone π Β way back in 2011 I won some coin stacks π Β I finished the flimsy fairly quickly, but there it stayed until recently, when I was motivated to finish it for a friend undergoing chemo.
I am quite pleased with how it turned out, and I made a cushion too π
so a big thank you once again, to those that made the coin stacks way back when π Β Dianne will get a real kick out of knowing that these blocks came from different parts of the USA π
The stacked coins block was from the first month I participated in the lotto. And I can see a couple of the blocks I made that month! It is always so exciting to see my blocks show up in the finished quilts. And this one really turned out great. It will be a very cheerful gift for your friend. I love it!
Lovely , happy feeling quilt . I am sure your friend will feel wrapped in a big hug as she goes through her therapy.
What a happy, cuddly-looking quilt. I think the blocks made a great pillow–probably a block pattern I wouldn’t have considered for a pillow cover, but it’s fantastic.
Ps. I edited your post to set the featured image (so it would expand in the slider on the home page. All three photos are great. I chose the one of the full quilt, but you should feel free to chance it to one of the others if you prefer. Directions for how to do that, and why you should want to set a featured image are in this post.
thanks Sophie π I got a friend request from you via FB, but I was a bit suspicious that it wasn’t really you LOL so I unfriended. Please forgive me if it was you, and send the friend request again π
Thanks for showing the finished products. I’m so glad it is going as a gift to your friend. It is so cheerful.
That is such a sunny happy quilt -I hope your friend finds some comfort in it. I can see three of my blocks in there.
thank you everyone for your lovely comments π the quilt will be delivered to my friend tomorrow π she is allowed home for a week to rest and sleep in her own bed. Then back to hospital for the next lot of treatment.
