I was making blocks for my Mod-Mod Queen-size quilt, decided to use a striped fabric for some of the Flying Geese units .. and I decided I wanted the stripe to go the same way in all the blocks, which it wouldn’t if used the 4-at-once, no-waste technique in Method #1, or made them as half-square triangles as in Method #2.  At first I thought I’d paper-piece them (Method #3 in the block directions), but it just seemed a lot faster if...

Most of the blocks we make this year will be 7 inch squares (finished size). The March block is 14 inch square which is the equivalent of FOUR 7 inch squares.  Mailing one of those in an envelope is the  size and weight equivalent of mailing FOUR 7 inch blocks, which nobody complains so loudly about. Helen discovered a problem with the WordPress App for iPad.  When you try to add a post, you’ll see an error like this: If you can access our site from a browser, you’ll see it IS accessible. After a quick look around online, it looks like the issue is related to the secure connection being used by the app.  I will need to make a change (or purchase an upgrade) on the site to support the increased security in the WordPress app...
