It has been a couple of years since I have participated in the Block Lotto, but when I saw these lovely blocks designed by Sophie, I just couldn’t pass up the chance to try out the technique and maybe win some blocks along the way.

I mailed off my eight blocks for April to two different recipients and make four new blocks for May! I am very proud of myself! Sophie, I really, really like this block! Working with a 1/4″ seam allowance is critical here.  

I had a lot of fun making the triangle in a square block. This block is very versatile, and I could see making lots of different compositions from it. And who is going to be the lucky winner? I hope I am of course!!

Hello everyone! I would like to introduce ourselves. We are two of the newest members and participants of the Block Lotto. I am the one featured at the back of the photo; I had blond hair over the summer. We are a team and will be sewing as one. The younger member there, is S. She started First Grade just last fall.
