Oh Susannah! was our March Block Lotto assignment and I won 47 beautiful blocks. Fourteen more were needed for the size I wanted for an on point set. When only making a few blocks for a monthly drawing, each one is a little production of its own but a whole quilt is another thing entirely. Give me a block pattern with angles and I will unerringly choose fabrics with a strong directional print. It might be very easily made, but not after I get through with it! It’s been a busy month, but I managed to finish 6 Noon and Light blocks for donation.                 I have not done much trimming of HSTs and have totally ignored everyone’s exclamations of delight with the Bloc-Loc ruler. Necessity to the rescue— you can put 3 layers of masking tape along the 45º line of your square ruler and make a very acceptable substitute....
