What Do You Love? January’s Heart Block

I was thinking about New Year’s Resolutions and thought how it seemed we mostly focus on negative things that we want to change to make better, rather than the positive things that, if we found a way to have more of in our lives, would make us even happier.  I was led me to the idea of making heart blocks this month after asking myself the question, What do you love? followed by, How can you have more of that in your life? Those are my three blocks in the photo, photo-bombing by my cat Grace Hopper, who is also loudly protesting...

Still here, still stitching (a little)

So, nothing like leaving it to the last minute…but I like this sort of block and always have loads of scraps on hand, and, more importantly, have finally finished the sewing project which was hanging over me, preventing me from feeling I could do anything else before it was done. It’s been a very busy year for me – very little time at home coupled with a bad virus during one of my holiday weeks – and I don’t think I’ve played in the lotto at all until now. However, better late than never, and perhaps 2017...

Just a few last minute strings

Here are three that I’ve made just for the pot.  I know these ‘made’ fabric blocks are very popular, but not particularly with me, so they should go to someone who will enjoy them.  I doubt that I’ll make the January blocks because in looking through the few strips that I have, very few are red....
