Flying geese quilt…
Another oldie but goodie. I don’t remember how old this one is, years for sure. It sat quilted with no binding for quite awhile. I finally put the binding on today. It will go to my aunt. Thank you for the...

I don’t remember when we did these blocks. 2 years ago? It sat as a top for quite some time, finally going to the quilter this spring. I put the binding on today. I love it and thanks to all who sent me...

It’s hard to explain what this extreme fatigue I am dealing with feels like–I know it must seem impossible to some of you that I can literally be SO exhausted that I can’t even keep up with the Block Lotto, but … as much as I try, as much as I look forward to coming home from work and doing something I love, I cannot. However I have some very treasured quilts that I have already made from my winnings and a few more still to...

I finished the paper pieced chicken quilt that I won earlier this year. I used every chicken too, on front and on the back. I hope you remember which ones you made. Elizabeth Clark suggested I pair them with the churn dash which sounded pretty “farmish” so I make all the churn dashes with a color wheel in hand, constantly referencing the colors to be sure they were compatible. The piano key border is made up of all the leftover two color strips from the sides of the churn dashes. I sewed them randomly into 4 very wide strips...

I managed to get 5 Asterisk blocks made. Carefully attending to seam allowances and good pressing yielded the 8 1/2″ blocks. If I make more, will cut at 9″ instead of 8 1/2″. Hope to make more using different...

Like several others, I enlarged my initial block to 9″ to give me some wiggle room for trimming them down to 8.5″. I’ve admired these blocks in the past and they went up fairly quickly. I’m adding five for the drawing....
