The Robin Returns!

Some of the Block Lotto participants joined in a round robin project earlier this year that was a lot of fun and resulted in wonderful finished quilts.  I’m organizing the 2013 version and recruiting for a project to start in January. You can check out the “reveal” of the previous quilts at the Cotton Robin blog, and leave a comment there if you’d like to join in the fun! Thanks,   Julie AKA...

Walking Down (Block Lotto) Memory Lane

Walking Down (Block Lotto) Memory Lane

I have updated the show & tell posts so that the images are displayed on all the Gallery pages. It was like taking a walk down Block Lotto memory lane.  FYI, if there were in-progress posts for the same quilt, I only included the most recent in the Gallery. One September Block from Helen

One September Block from Helen

No better way to spend a rainy Labor Day then in the sewing hub while my son napped. This will be my only block for September but maybe it will bring me luck. I learned so much from this block. I will try and take a better picture tomorrow. Sophie, thank you for...

Tips and Tricks for the 3-D Flower Block

I’m going to attempt to capture the suggestions and explanations that I know will be coming in this post. If at first you don’t like the block … I already shared this thought, from Christa, with the sneak peekers–it’s more about attitude than technique, but something to consider if you shared her first impression of the block: First when I got the sneak peek I thought “don’t really like it” but when I made it, I fell in...
