I recently participated in a Gwennie Inspired Medallion Quilt Along where each round was a different theme to be interpreted by the maker. Here are a couple more Charity tops one has the Basket Block…I made some extra ones to go with the Duds/Orphans one I received, the other top uses a chevron I made to go with other left overs…keep in mind, sewing is new to me so there are probably zillions of mistakes. Just thought you might like to see what bits and pieces…even unrelated ones can do even for beginners! ( I am allergic to house work so if you see any dust...

Sorry that I was so very late.  I carried the envelope around for 10 days! One of my few NY’s resolutions is to get the BL blocks out during the two week time frame Sophie suggests. In the last couple of days I received basket blocks from Charlene and Jo. Charlene, your handles are perfect and, yes, I can use the “scrap” you sent! Jo, thanks for the little extra you included.  I do not have one like it.   I think I’m just waiting for one more block and then I will decide what to do with all these lovely baskets.  Thank you, everyone!  

The older I get, the longer it takes for me to get in the mood for holiday decorating.  The wreath has been hanging on the door for about a week and I bought some frames at a thrift store with an idea how to use them, but aside from that, no decorating has been happening chez moi. Last night, I stitched down the binding on my little idea for our rectangular blocks.   Putting it on my small dining table this morning nudged me in the holiday...

I mailed Laura’s basket yesterday. No idea when it might arrive, I’m sure there’s not much room on those airplanes this time of year.

I received some gorgeous basket blocks in the mail Friday and Saturday from Laura R, Nann, Peggy, Sophie and Jude.  Thanks, everyone.
