I left the survey open longer than planned, hoping for more responses and just closed it. We had 48 quilters respond–which is about half as many as last year. You can see the results of the four multiple-choice questions and some of my thoughts here: 2019 Block Lotto Survey Results Based on your input and the suggestions you supplied, here are some of the highlights from my plan: There will be a theme and uniform size (6 inches) for all 2019 blocks. Hi everyone! Here is my finished quilt top of our May Rail Fence Variations blocks. I have just finished this top, ready to send to the long armer. The words forming the border are Block Lotto blocks from the “Terms of Endearment” blocks circa February 2011, which I was lucky to win. Thanks to all who made one or more of these blocks. They’re amazing. The heart in the center is a pattern from Michelle Watts, a quilt designer who lives in New Mexico. This quilt will become part of my grandmother “baby hope chest.” Both our kids are hoping to begin a family soon, so this one will go to the...

I’ve never made a Halloween quilt, so this single piece of Halloween fabric must have been a gift. It’s the only block I’ll be making this month since I limit myself to using my stash for block lotto blocks. I hope more of you get into the Halloween spirit and have appropriate fabric for this fun theme. Kathie L in...

We had a total of 56 blocks made this month, and ten were donated chances. 10 people made blocks and 3 people donated all their chances. That means seven people in the pot to win either a set of 30 blocks or a set of 26 blocks. And the winners are … Which means Kathy S. (30) and Peggy (26)! Congratulations! Watch for the list from Sophie later on who sends what where. Kathy S. and Peggy, please let Sophie know if you are keeping all your own blocks. Thanks for a great month! It was so much fun to see what you all did with the...
